The Kony 2012 is everywhere these days. So finally, I had to see it. It is a great example of everything we've talked about this term, I think I will write on it in more detail later on but for now I'm just sharing the video.

Disabled Protestors
In Bolivia, disabled people held a protest for their rights. The welcoming committee was formed of riot police. The following images will give you some idea of what happened next.

Social Media Activism
Social Media was a big hit this year in the revolutionary chambers. It made the news all around the world. The power of Twitter, Facebook and all other websites alike all played big parts in the protests that took place in the east.
The ease of use and simplicity these new forms of media bring is their power. But as it is true with everything else, ease also brings laziness and can be misleading.
One of the greatest blogs I have ever read, Iconic Photos, recently had a post related to this issue. I believe it's worth a look, it is quite short anyway.

First Assignment: Catalyst event
